An MRT worker who works for nine hours a day complained about the loud noise coming from the trains. The Shin Min Daily News reporter then conducted a decibel metre test to determine the noise level in the trains. The result was alarming. The trains were averaging over 115 decibels, which is three decibels higher than the noise level in the surrounding area.
